We need a Production Manager to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within budget, delighting our customers. This key leadership role guides product development through manufacturing and drives our company's growth. You’ll support a 20-30-person manufacturing team by fostering collaboration, safety, and teamwork while providing coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance performance and skill development in fabricating, assembling, testing, and repairing electronic products, systems, subassemblies, components, and parts for some of the world’s most advanced technology projects.
A Day in the Life Looks Like This:
- Lead a team of skilled operators to meet production targets and maintain quality standards.
- Manage staff by hiring, training, and assigning responsibilities.
- Ensure safety through training and adherence to safety rules.
- Maintain and evaluate equipment.
- Organize workflow with effective scheduling and coordination.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Compile and report on production records and team performance.
- Verify output against specifications and improve efficiency.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with the workforce, management, suppliers, and customers.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Must accurately read, interpret, and apply technical specifications, blueprints, installation diagrams, and equipment manuals. Understanding and following instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form is essential.
- Proficient in numerical and statistical analysis, with extensive knowledge of process improvement and lean manufacturing.
- Effective in directing and leading teams, with highly effective motivational, time, and people management skills.
- If required by job duties, background checks (criminal/education/employment/ reference/credit/DMV) will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company.
- Flexibility to work (infrequently) nights, weekends, and holidays.

The job is mainly performed indoors in a manufacturing setting; The individual is constantly required to talk, hear, stand, or sit for extended periods while using computers, telephones, or other devices. Individuals frequently use their hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects and computer keyboards. Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, squatting, turning, twisting and smelling is required. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 5 pounds and occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 35 pounds is required. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. On a frequent physical presence in a temperature-controlled, air-filtered manufacturing area to communicate and conduct business. Noise levels vary, and specific workspace restrictions may apply. Occasional sitting, standing, moving forward/back/side-to-side, and working around machinery and moving parts are required, with exposure to electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, chemicals, oils, sealants, solvents, and other compounds possible. Site conditions require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as eye, hearing, respiratory protection, protective smocks, steel-toe shoes, gloves, etc. Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.
